Jinja’s strategic location close to the River Nile (world’s longest river) is the reason why there are so many thrilling land and water adventure activities. Some of the top things to do when in Jinja include white water rafting, bungee jumping, kayaking, river surfing, sundowner cruises, golfing, canoe rides, source of the Nile tour, quad biking, horseback riding, speed boat trips to mention but a few.

2- Bwindi Forest – Situated about 499 km from the city is a fascinating UNESCO heritage site, the impenetrable Bwindi forest; home to over half the population of mountain gorillas left in the world. 3- Murchison Falls Park – If you want the best game viewing experience in Uganda, then Murchison falls national park should be added to your Uganda safari itinerary. Considered the most visited park, Uganda’s oldest park is home to 76 mammal species that include 4 of the Big Five game , up to 500 bird species, 13 primate species which you can track in the nearby Budongo forest but the main attraction of the park has always been the beautiful Murchison falls ; the strongest falls on the mighty Nile. Getting to Murchison falls from Kampala city takes about 4 to 6 hours using the Kampala Masindi road.

4-  Kibale forest – For travelers interested in primates but cant afford the expensive gorilla trekking permits, then a tour to Kibale forest is your best option. Kibale forest is home to over 1500 chimpanzees of the 4950 recorded and that makes it the best place to track chimpanzees in East Africa. Other primates you will encounter on trek through the corridor include the infamous grey-cheeked Mangabey, Ugandan red colobus, Mantled Guereza, olive baboons, vervet monkeys, blue monkey, L’hoest monkey to mention but a few.

5- Kampala City – Last but not least is the capital of Uganda- Kampala city. The city is home to a variety of cultural, religious and entertainment sites plus the best base to explore the rest of the country. Spome of the top attrcations in Kampala belong to the Buganda kingdom and these include Kasubi tombs, Namugongo shrine, Kabaka’s Palace & Lake, Namirembe catherdal, Bahai temple, Gadaffi mosque, Lubaga cathedral among other ll esily accessible at very cheap rates.
