This 2 day Uganda primate safari takes you to Kibale Forest National Park for a chimpanzee trekking adventure. The tour allows you to search for close relatives to the human beings- the chimpanzees. These have been habituated and open for chimpanzee tourism. On your chimpanzee safari, expect to encounter meet 13 other primates in the Kibale forest namely; Olive baboons, black and white monkeys, l’hoest monkeys, Vervet monkeys among others including a good number of colorful birdlife species.

Day1: Transfer from Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park
On this day, enjoy an early for breakfast, later meet and greet with the company driver guide and begin the transfer journey at 7:00 am taking you through Mityana main town, Kyenjojo, Mubende and groove on the green tea plantations as you connect to Fort Portal town. Enjoy a delicious enroute lunch in Fort portal main town, have a short nap and later continue with the drive to the park covering a distance of about 45 kilometers. Upon arrival in the park check in at your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience and Departure to Kampala
Wake up early for a cup of coffee, get ready with your packed breakfast boxes and head to the park headquarters point for a small briefing at the Kanyanchu area. While here you are put in groups, assigned ranger guides, learn more before you begin the trekking. Waking early gives you a chance to spot the chimpanzee family when they are moving out of their nests and track them as they start their day daily activities of feeding, and playing while jumping from tree to another and learn more about their lifestyle. During the tracking experience, grab a chance to meet with other primates such as; white and black Colobus monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, Red-tailed Monkeys, grey-cheeked Mangabey plus numerous birdlife species.
The chimpanzee trekking adventure ends around mid-day and after this awesome experience you return to the lodge, check out and join your driver for a drive to Fort Portal town for lunch and later depart for Kampala through the Mubende route.
