3 Days Queen Elizabeth Safari


The 3 days Queen Elizabeth National Park safari takes you to Uganda’s second-largest national park with great populations of mammal and bird species. The major activities include game drives giving you spectacular views of herds of elephants, Uganda kobs, warthogs, leopards, African lions, and Buffalos among others. A launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel exposes you to 611 bird species, huge Nile crocodiles and hundreds of Hippos.

Trip Summary

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park-Katwe local mines.

Day 2: Game drives and launch cruise at Kazinga Channel.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura Gorge and departure.

Queen Elizabeth Park Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and visit Katwe salt mines

In the early morning, you will be picked up from either your hotel/airport and transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The whole journey will take you approximately 6 hours having a stop over at the equator for photography and a short break. You will reach the lodge in the afternoon, rest and visit the katwe salt mines in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Katara Lodge/Enganzi Lodge.

Day 2: Game Drive and Launch Cruise

Wake up in the early morning and go for game drives in the open savannah grasslands. Game drives provide you with a clear view of various animals such as herds of elephants, buffalos, elands, antelopes, warthogs, waterbucks, topis, leopards, and lions among others. Go for a late breakfast and wait for a hot lunch at the lodge as you relax. At 2:00 pm, you will transfer to Kazinga channel for the launch cruise that connects lakes, Edward and George. The launch cruise provides you with spectacular views of bird species and water animals. Dinner and overnight at the lodge (Day 1).

Day 3: Kyambura Gorge Chimpanzee Tracking – Departure
After the morning breakfast, transfer to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee trekking and then drive back to the lodge for lunch. Later, transfer back to Kampala for a connecting flight.
